Thank you all for all the great feedback. I appreciate it. Nice to know that many of you like the set and the theme and I'm not really crazy.

I'm happy to say that they were picked up yesterday and he really liked them, knives and leather. Hopefully they will be put to good use soon.

Very nice set. Oft times the color on burl/spalted wood turns me off, but these are perfect. Fantastic color for my tastes.

The dark finish and light finish look great together too.

I would love to own one of your hunters, and a pair would be even better!

WOW man those are beauties! I love the dark n light variations you did, and that black g-10 guard is very cool! How well do ya think that would hold up to edc/hunting use or (heavy use)? Beautiful overall package(s) brother!

Thank you Paul. I'm quite confident that the g-10 will hold up to heavy use. I've done quite a bit of testing on that in my shop. And to be safe, you can see in the pics that I left the guard a little shorter and a little beefier than I usually do with metal or steel guards. I did, once quite sometime ago, break the very tip off a thin paper micarta guard trying to push it into a very tight sheath. But g-10 has WAY more shear strength than paper micarta. It's amazingly strong.

Thank you Kevin. Claude really does do fine work. He will be doing sheaths for many of my knives from here on out and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

The knives are great!
I usually dont like the light/dark wood deal, especially with heart/sapwood
but the handles on these are incredible.
