It's not paper, thats a gaurentee because paper does not have a weave pattern - it's paper (paper is not woven).
It's probably not canvas because even at the sides canvas has a pretty burly weave pattern that shows even on flat surfaces. Canvas micarta also tends to fray at the ridges of the machining because the threads are so much larger, when you have them at thin edges they just kind of puff out. You can immediately cancel out canvas by putting water on it - if the water soaks into it immediately, it's canvas. If it doesn't it's not.
That leaves linen micarta or g10. Because of how smooth the edges are and how dark it is, I'm going with g10. Linen micarta, even the blackest of black, isn't really black. It takes on a lightness because of the amount of threads showing, not as light as canvas but not nearly as dark as g10. the edge of that knife look straight up black, and very smooth. since it looks as smooth as paper from the edges but has a tight weave from the machining without any fraying at the edges - I'd say it's black g10.
as a characteristic of the material, linen micarta will tend to soak up moisture when you put water on it - g10 will not.
