Matriarch 2 or Yojimbo

You can buy a kerambit style ring that replaces the backspacer/pommel on the matriarch. I thnk its made by 3 wismen or something like that?

However the most versatile Spyderco for self defense is in my opinion the Waved Endura. My personal favourite is the P'kal. However the P'kal is more ona specialized SD knife where as the Waved Endura is a great knife for all types of SD techniques and makes a great utility knife too.

I would totally agree with you if the waved Endura was also FFG. I own one, and while I really like it, I just can't get it sharp enough to slice through things like my PM2 and Delica.
 
While its true ffgs slice better the waved endura is no slouch if you just keep it sharp. Spyder ffg wouldn't be very appropriate for SD.

The waved endura has that fat tip you can pry with or stab with impunity.
 
Makes sense, though I really didn't buy it with that in mind (SD aspect). I would just prefer it in FFG.

Off topic, but I'm curious how the description of the waved Delica/Endura is listed as 'dark gray,' when it's so clearly navy blue? Lol. IIRC there are a couple others that confuse me as well.
 
I think they originally came in grey instead of that dark blue.

That ring backspacer is awesome. I saw one for delicas before. If only the ring went the other way for a Pikal grip.
