Matriarch questions

The only plainedge versions were protoypes, right?

Also, anyone know if the Endura98 kydex neck sheath that DiscountKnives sells will fit a Matriarch?

I can't answer the question about the sheath. Although, if the knife isn't inserted into the sheath tip first, I would think it would be very close.

The prototype is the only PlainEdge Matriarch. If we make enough noise, we might get Sal to make a run of Plain Edge Matriarch's. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

I know that Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths (same guy who made the Blue Native sheaths) has been working on a neck sheath for th Matriarch. Hang tight, and in a little while, the new sheaths will be available

** I would guess that the sheath made for the Endura would NOT fit because of the 'hump' on the hook blade of the Matriarch.

Ray's got it right. I've already reserved one with Mike and he's giving us BladeForums guys a price break on it. He's trying to do something similar to what he did on the BF Native sheaths so BladeForums will benefit from this. Send him an email if you want one. He's at VideoSAS@aol.com.

An Endura will fit in a Matriarch sheath, but not the other way around. The handles are the same, but the pronounced hump of the Matriarch's blade has no room in the Endura sheath. To work properly, the sheaths are knife specific.
