On Thursday last I had the opportunity to hold a production prototype of the Matriarch in my hands.

I really can't wait for it to be available. The handle is the standard 98' Endura handle with l/r clip. The blade is a scaled down (to fit into the Endura handle) Civilian blade. The prototype blade was plain edge but I was told that the production version will be serrated only, due to the task specific nature of the knife.

ETA of the knife here in South Africa is 3 to 4 months.

On a serious note, please keep us updated on the Matriarch over there. If the price is reasonable and becomes available in the U.S., even in a small quantities, I'll snag two immediately.

Deon -- could you help me acquire a Matriarch from a dealer there in South Africa? I really want to buy one!
 
Titan, I'm sure that wont be a problem. I will post on the forum when they become available.
