Matriarch

I just received my grey Matriarch. Very sweet. I would think that the mere sight of this knife would be a deterrent to those with bad intentions.

I just got mine a few days ago. Nice isn't it? A friend of mine who saw a good deal of hand-to-hand in Nam said he wishes he had one then.

A question for all those reading this: Will the grey handled Matriarch be worth more than an ordinary Matriarch some day?

I call it my "Oh S***" knife.

People in the know ask what am I carrying I just hand it to them closed. The reaction to the open blade is usually "Oh S***".

They are pretty nice. The Civilian has a slightly better "Oh S***" factor, but they're both pretty good. The Matriarch is less likely to nick your finger when you close it. The Civilian tends to nick the unwary.

The Matriarch looks so unintimidating in it's Mike Sastre neck sheath. It would tend to surprise when opened.

Don't know about Matriarch value increasing, just glad to have one at a great Spyderco price for BladeForums members.
