Matt Bailey, 1095 steel, hamon, file work, micarta handle, mosaic pin, and Buy Brown kydex sheath with small Tel-Lok. Cutting edge is 2.5”, OAL is 6.5”.
Matt Bailey does his own heat treat (cool hamon) and makes his own micarta. The extra effort really comes alive in this little knife. The reverse grip on this knife is something you have to feel to really appreciate. The fat little micarta handle fills the user’s hands extremely well. I have sharpened/reground the profile of the edge, and the blade has some small kydex marks on it. This isn’t the original sheath (it’s long gone) but is a sheath I had that I re-shaped to fit Matt’s knife. I’ve had this knife on my belt a handful of times and it’s hard to even feel it there. One very comfortable blade and carry setup. I have not used or carried it since re-profiling the blade, and it is currently Freaking Ass Scary Sharp!
