Not sure what that references , but the feeling i got he was from the Phillipines , I know he mentioned speaking 3 diff dialects.

Hmmmm. I probably should have used the term "besides" (in addition to. . .) rather than "aside"? Apologies, I sometimes I mix-up prepositions.

What I meant was that I was happy for him adopting the Pinoy culture in addition to him making an nice wharncliffe knife.

If you ever meet Matt in person , be prepared to be entertained , his passion for knives along with his sense of humor was a real treat. I only wish I had the smarts to snap a few pictures of his latest work , and my digital SLR was less than an arms reach away too !!

When Bill drew Matt's latest from the sheath he said " WOW " , that is a huge compliment from someone like Bill , who makes knives as close to perfect as they can be while still being hand made.

John anytime !! i wish i had more time there but with a 3 1/2 hour drive ahead of me i barely made it home by 2 am .
Pictures im not real good shooting pictures .. that is too much like work (LOL) playing /grinding ect is fun not work ..when knifemaking becomes work it is time to Quit!! a strong thing to say but i think a knifemaker should be having fun while making something .. Yea i Know Im Carzy like that !!

Untamed / Haizen and everyone else Im Sorry if i came off like a Asshole i was not trying to .. i just take it Very Personal when someone say's the Term Pinoy is a Bad thing .. it is not .before i came onto the forum's there was another knifemaker who claimed to want to become "Known " so We were going to make a website and the Neutral name Chosen was Pinoy!! he is from Cebu yes another Visayan ..after the website was built he ran away and hide leaving me with a freshly launched website so i ran with is as Pinoy .. i figure there are Probably Several knifemakers named "Cook " maybe even another Matt so i am Matt Cook my full name also Pinoy !! as i stated in my previous post im American by Birth .Aklanon by Choice and the Priveledge of finding and being welcomed not just by Family but many others including many native born Aeta..so i am what is Called A Balikbayan ..i have 2 places i call Home . simple as that insult either i will take it personal wheather im right or wrong .that is the problem with emotion's they don't think (LOL)

I've been on the various forums/discussion boards, not just on BF, for almost a decade (lurked for some years). One thing that I've learned all through these years is that it's a very limited dimension. Like I said via PM, stuff happens, and its more often behind the scenes which may add to some confusion.
