Seems strange you guys can't get the knives you ordered---yet he has a very nice bowie he just-- finished-- for sale---on Knifeforums. I thought he was back logged?

If you read the first posts, you would see that Matt is backlogged on bowies made from stuff that he has to send out for heat treating. The forged blades he can heat treat himself. The original complaint was for a stock removal D2 bowie. With the Stock removal blades, the maker has to grind out a bunch of blades and send them all in a batch to make it worthwhile costwise. The heat treater charges the same for a couple blades as he does for 20 blades.

Now I understand, I thought about ordering a knife myself.

Lobo, dont know why you felt compelled to post a "thumbs down" on me having a knife available. Perhaps you should consider that things happen like folks cancel orders when the knife is nearly done (as this case was) , a maker needs to do try new materials, methods etc.....

I had no idea of "dragging it out" did you not read my responce to Danbo? However, since I am here, it did seem a little strange with all the controversity over long waiting periods that you would post your knife for sell on Knifeforums and not here. Your bussiness practices are your own, but if I had a knife ordered from you, I would be a little preturbed to see you had time to make new knives will I was still waiting for mine.

The man has come on the forum and explained himself and made no excuses as far as I can see. If you can live w/ that ,fine .....if you can't, fine. It would be best if you just let it drop...IMHO.
