I recently got a great chopper from Matt, so I'm letting this one go. Here's your chance to see why this man was awarded "Best New Maker" at Blade 2006, and why he's a favorite among the forum members here.
7-3/4" blade from tip to guard, W2 steel. 12.5" overall. Just shy of 1/4" thickness at the spine. Spine is rounded. Stainless steel guard and ferrule. Stabilized buckeye burl with some great figure. Very interesting hamon. The left side of the blade has a more wispy hamon, more like what's toward the tip of the blade seen in the shot of the right side's hamon. I couldn't capture the left side's hamon in photos.
It doesn't have a sheath, but it comes in a padded zip case.
Sold.
A shot of the perfectly fitted guard to ricasso joint. That black spot with the white center at the top of the guard in this photo is a weird reflection.
