want to know if there are any articles out there on how to put the combat finish on knives..also,I just like the non shine blades alot.any info,or input would be great,,i have learn so much off this forum, its cool,***like to meet ya all. thanks,, royboy
Roy, If you use high carbon steel, try bead blasting and hot blue from a gun smith. If it is stainless steel, just bead blast it for the grey look. In both cases the bead blasting will take the shine off and give a nice matte finish. The high carbon steels will rust quickly after bead blasting. I like to blue them.
thanks for your in info, now to try it.I have a friend in the 10th mnt div,who is gonna go up against the taiban,,bums..gonna make him a knive to slice ganna ears,,,god bless america,,,thanks again,,royboy
Roy- I just bought a couple of small buffing wheels for my Dremel that look like Scotchbrite pads. I was pretty happy with the brushed finish I ended up with.
