Its been a while so I thought I'd throw this out for you all to be on the lookout.

I purchased a knife from

Matthew Klein dba
Outdoor Superstore (ebay name "outdoorsuperstore")
3432 Denmark Ave #77
Eagan, MN 55123-1088

I never received it.

A check written 6/28/03 was cashed by him on July 10, 2003. I have a copy of both sides of it.

He would not respond.

"outdoorsuperstore" is no longer an ebay user.

I filed a complaint with Ebay and with the USPS. No result as of yet over a year later.

It was only $53 but its the principle of the thing.

I posted this here last year but just thought I'd throw up a reminder. Watch out for this theif named Matthew Klein.
 
You could call the local PD to him and let them know they have a guy running an ebay scam.
 
Nothing worse than being burned, regardless of the $ involved.

I can't belive I'm seeing this guy's name again .... He was VERY bad news. I bought a Salsa from him during the same time frame. I was VERY lucky though. After 2 months and a dozen plus emails, he finally .... just out of the blue .... delivered the Salsa.

I'm surprised that so many of us got burned by him and he has not re-surfaced.

I have written the loss off, but figured I'd throw the name out so that if anyone else comes across him, they'll know.

I'm also surprised that nothing has come of the USPS Inspector action. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
 
No need to be surprised. The authorities don't care at all about small time fraud. People try to steal from me every single day and about once per month one of them succeeds. I've never had a police department anywhere do anything about one - ever. You can warn others as you have done here but there isn't anything that will get you your money back other than a lawsuit. Sorry. Take care.
