Mattock

I watched a program about dinosaur hunters and there was an interesting tool shown. I thought it might be an Estwing tool so I checked . It is a new tool called a Geo/Paleo tool which is a small mattock. I always found a mattock to be a very digging tool and this on is reduced size like the Estwing light axe which I've used for many years .The mattock has a pick on one end and a digging blade on the other. 25" long I wondered if it might be of interest to someone on this forum.

I've always enjoyed having a rock pick/hammer on hikes for doing a bit of geo-exploring. Especially in Southern IN where geodes are fairly easily found. Don't get caught with one in a state or national park, tho!
