A little update. I got puukko from Lamnia after a long wait. The puuko is labeled: "Mauno Keranen Tommi."

Attached was a tag directing me to a website for Manu Paja, a business. That website says Mauno is apparently at least slowing down making puukot as of Summer 2017.

Per the website, Mauno's"apprentice," is "continuing" the work at "Manu Paja."

Will the brand change? Will Mauno make any puukot in the future?

The foundation of the company was promoted by the blacksmith course, which Keränen conducted in 1985 in Kuhmo. Today, with a long day job, Mauno Keränen has been thinking of giving time to hobbies and giving Timo Mäkeläinen more responsibility. Timo has been interested in doing the work already since being small, learning about different jobs from his father and father maintaining the traditions of craftsmanship.

Manu Pajan products and activities / work methods have attracted interest since the early 2000s, and so Timo has been Mauno's companion and apprentice for several years. When Mauno left the work of the teacher at the Kianta College and when the teaching came to Timo, the idea of continuing Manu Paja was born. Mergers will be completed during the summer of 2017.

On the tag, Timo, not Mauno, is named the "seppa" - the maker. The blade, however, carries Mauno's mark.

I think I need to ask Lamnia exactly what I got.
