Maxamet PM2

You guys with maxamet blades - will the ceramic rods for the sharpmaker touch it, or do you need diamond rods? I want this Maxamet PM2 really badly, but if I can't sharpen it on the sharpmaker, I'm not as interested...

I have the Manix 2 Maxamet, I've had it for a few months now, and a quick touch up on the ceramic Sharpmaker stones is all it needs to bring it back to sharp. I know some guys say just a strop will do, but I don't have good results with a strop. Literally 10 to 20 swipes on the ceramic rods is all it takes. Brad
 
i was slow to come aboard with the PM2,but because i like working on knifes'making scales and changing out the stock ones,and because the PM2 i find is easy to work on(over-hall) i started collecting them,now it seems i like to carry a PM2 alot,i was just about two pre order one in maxamet yesterday but figured i would wait because it will be a stock PM2 vary soon any way!the price seems about right to.
