Maximus Otter/SERE 2000

You won't go wrong with the SERE 2000. It's got one of the most solid liner locks out there. The QC problems mentioned are a long time thing of the past. Go for it.

There might be just one thing left to get me away from it: Is it ambidex.... you know?! Can i fix the clip on the other side?

The clip is attached to the bottom (punyo) of the handle with two screws and everything is symmetric. So you can swap it left/right but it is always tip up.

It's got double thumbstuds as well. So it's fully ambidex except that it's a liner lock so it's easier to close one handed in the right hand.

I'm glad you got the Sere! It is honestly my favorite folder (and I have owned a SH!TLOAD of folders!). When you get it, you will be absolutely shocked at the quality - they are simply beautiful! They open smooth as buttah, lock up like a vault and cut like there's no tomorrow. I think you will be VERY happy with your purchase! Don't be afraid to use it hard.

OK, now boyz ´n galls who own one: Is the locking liner realy as thick as said in that "jungle training"? 3/32" mean 2,38 mm  I doubt this liner will go all the way in that thickness, or does it???

Lock up to die for, beautiful knife, G-10 scales sized like it was custom made for my hand...smooth pursuit of the blade while opening, a brushed VG-10 blade prettier than some others polished and a "snik" when the liner lock engages (and is it BEEFY!) that is pure pleasure...I LOVE THIS KNIFE...it WAS worth it!!!
