For those of you who have them, or have actually seen them together, I need a recommendation. I do not know of any retailers in my area, so I can only go by photos, descriptions, and your help. Here is how I plan to use one.
Mainly day hikes, and for CCW with probably a revolver. I like the Jumbo, due to the bottle carrier. And BTW, does anyone know if a Guyot 38 oz. will fit in it? Also, does the Fatboy have an attachment point for a separate bottle carrier that maxpedition sells. Any other suggestions would be welcome. :)
Thanks,
Dave.

Get the jumbo. It will accomidate that guyot. Better size IMO. I thought the fatboy was a little small.

Yes you can probably find a way to mount the bottle on the MOLLE loops, but just ge the one with that feature. BTW they are sweet packs, you will love it!

I have both. I prefer the Jumbo for trail hiking since it will take the larger Nalgene or Guyot bottles; and yes, you can add a Rolly-Polly to the opposite side with the webbing to add an additional bottle, but be careful not to overload it!!!!

I don't use the bag for CCW, but it does have a very generous space for a pistol...it'll easily handle my fullsize 1911. I usually carry the bag on my weak side (left...and no, I don't have the S-version), and still carry my pistol on my strong side in a holster.

For around town, the smaller one works fine, but I like the option to carry a full size water bottle when out hiking. Recommend the Jumbo, just to make it too heavy...once you get above 10-12 pounds, you need to start looking at a regular pack.

Thanks all for the Info. The Jumbo may be my choice. As I am a lefty, I am thinking about the S version.
Rock 6 - Do you recommend the modular holster? Will it adjust for a wheel gun as well as a semi auto?
Thanks,
Dave.

I have the Jumbo, the guyot fits inside. I also have a stailess steel cup in mine as well.

I am a righty but I chhose to carry it on my left shoulder as the water is what I reach for mostly. I don't carry a gun as I don't have a permit as of yet.

. I use it for dayhikes and I am more than happy with the jumbo.

The Fatboy will not accomodate a full size revolver.
If you are looking to carry a full size revolver and a stainless steel bottle with your other gear, then the Jumbo is best for you.

Also, the CCW Modular holster does not accomodate a full size revolver. It may adjust for a smaller frame revolver, but it is not really designed for it. We just slip the Uncle Mikes in the CCW pocket with the revolver. If you want to secure it, you can put velcro on the back of a regular holster and slap it in there. Works great!

Good luck!

Tonym - Thanks for the pic, and the recommendation.
LupaWolf - Thanks, for the heads up on the size. I think the Jumbo is the way to go. And I have autos, as well as wheel guns to Carry. ;) And with a piece of velcro, I am good to go with the revolver as will. I love that titanium .44 special.
Thanks All.
Dave.

I went throught the same process of trying to decide between the two several months ago. I ended up getting the Jumbo Verispack and am very happy with it.

I carry the Fatboy on a daily basis. It's my man-purse of choice. I don't think it would be suitable for hiking. For your purposes, I would go with the Jumbo.

Is it possible to wear the jumbo along with a full size pack? How about the Fatboy? All I would want it to carry is a pistol, water bottle, gps, compass, etc.
