Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack (loads of pics)

Zack, do you think a D70/D90 with just the basic lens (18-105) would fit in the Fatboy?

It would be tight, but I have extra room (some) when I put my D70 with 20-35 (my biggest) lens.

Thanx for the info! I'm about to replace my D70 with a D90, though even though I have a dedicated camera bag, it's a bonus if it also does fit in the Fatboy .

Great review, A.L. well done!
I have owned a Fatboy for about a year and and a half. When I first got it, I used is as an "around town" bag, carrying all the bits and pieces that an urban wanderer might need, but after a while I found the size and weight of all my "survival" stuff a bit much, and tended to leave it at home more than I wore it.
Then one day I needed to carry an assortment of cameras and accessories to a viewpoint that required a bit of a hike to access, and the Fatboy found a new life as a go anywhere camera bag.
Ideal size, comfortable to wear, and virtually bulletproof.

I still carry a SAK Champ and Silva compass in it however. Can't abandon all the goodies. :D

Sad, but I never noticed the inside pockets in the main compartment. I've had mine for a couple years and about 6 guys at work have bought one because of it. Thanks for the review.

Saw your post and am wondering if this is still working for you. Just ordered a Fat Boy for my D3000 and Tamron 18-270 lens. REALLY hoping it will work.

Thoughts???
