For sale is "original vintage" Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack in khaki. I'm the first & only owner. It was purchased in 2006. Back then, I didn't know anything about "hard use anything". I had hip surgery & was looking for something cool & unusual to carry things around. I didn't want the typical backpack. I discovered Maxpedition.
It was used occasionally for about 3 weeks during my recovery. It is nearly indistinguishable from brand new. The denier nylon is still stiff, like new. The zippers are in like new condition as well as all the buckles. Essentially, it's not even broken in. Dimensions are the same as the current version, 0403. The layout is also the same as current model. The only difference that I'm aware of is the back of mine has a snap closure loop that attaches to belt & the current model has waist belt that serves the same purpose.
