Has anyone tried the Maxipedition Sabercat as a day pack?

I like not having something on my back in the hot weather. This looks like it might fit the bill.

My older Mountainsmith Daypack tends to ride uncomfortably low when fully loaded.

I got mine this week. With 2L of water and all my other crap, my kit weighs out at about 15 lbs. I did a short hike today and it never got uncomfortable, but I like having it lower on my waist due to a back problem. I'm not sure how it would ride if you wanted it to stay higher up.

I didn't have any problems with it, and I'm making it my main day-hiking pack now.
