Maxpedition Versipak Fatboy or Jumbo for diaper bag???

Get the jumbo--you'll need the extra space.

Diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, bib, burp rag, toys... it adds up quick.

I use the Orange w/Foliage trim. It doesn't look so tacti-cool as the other models and it works just fine.

Ordered a Khaki/foliage trimmed Jumbo S-Type set w/ M-2 pouch and Rollypoly from Twowolves yesterday.
Lisa is great to work with!!! Pics to follow!!!

I've got two little ones and I have the Jumbo. Fortunately, it is stuffed with survival gear, knives, etc. The diper bag is a cheapo walmart cloth bag.

I saw a vest that I thought would work very well a while ago that was designed for diapers but forget the name. Congrats- we had #2 a month ago.

I'm planning ahead as to what tactical diaper bag I want to end up with, and I'm actually planning on going super huge with the sabercat. :D

I should have thought of this...we bought some Eddie Baur ones, that were manly enough so i wasn't embarassed, but a Jumbo would have been cool.

I just wanted to pipe up and say, as a new dad, you need to get this book:

"Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads" by Gary Greenberg. This book is super informative, and really pretty funny. It has a great diaper bag stocking list you may want to take a look at when filling up your Maxpedition bag.

Me too! Lisa was great. I ordered the same bag and a few other things. Twowolves can't be beat for customer service.

Well, I got the Type S Jumbo in Khaki/foliage. I got it as a set from Lisa at Two Wolves Outdoors. It came with a foliage M-2 Waistpack and a Rollypoly dump pouch and 4 Tac Ties.
I gotta say, this is a great pack! It is going to work out real well I think.
More pockets and straps than I could imagine......it is really slick!!!!! Everything is heavy duty and built like a tank!!!
I really like the color too!!! Lisa is great to deal with and an awesome seller!!

Here are some pics........gonna be about 9 more weeks before I actually get to use it for the baby!!! :D

Anybody have any tricks for using the Tac Ties? They seemed to fit/work real well on the RollyPoly, but a little loose with the M-2 pouch. I guess it depends where they are mounted.

Personally, I'd go for the Max Collosus. Bigger than the Jumbo, and the ergonomics are better... It opens away from you when you are wearing it, and is ambidextrous. I love my Collosus. (Not sure of the spelling, that sure doesn't look right)

I know this is a little late..but I bought the Colossus for this reason specifically. My wife an I are due in September...I have started thinking about packing stuff in there and let me tell you, I'm worried about the lack of space. It will barely hold an 11oz bottle vertically. With a bottle in the main pack space I would say there would be enough room for maybe 2 diapers, a cloth and possibly a change of clothes. There are the outer compartments, but they really are just small enough to be frustrating.

I am right now mulling over buying the Sitka as a replacement.

Yeah, I thought about a bigger bag, but after seeing this in person, I am not worried at all and I think it will be just fine. If I need something bigger I can pack a duffle bag.......this is just for a day out I guess.

I can get diapers in the outer pocket, wipes in the gun compartment and any sized bottle in the bottle carrier. That leaves clothes, changing pad and whatever else in the main. Then small toys, binkies and whatever else in the smaller pouched and pockets.
The Jumbos is actually ambidextrous as well.

I looked for many different diaper bags that would actually look good and found that in order to have a good functioning diaper bag I had to get an actual diaper bag...

Meaning - other bags just aren't designed to function as well.

I ended up with this one in green. AWESOME bag
