so yeah, I attempted to purchase an Edge Pro Apex Kit from Best Sharpening Stones and it didn't work. Which is no surprise to anybody here.

The Edge pro was listed as being in stock. They "guarantee" same day processing and 2-3 day shipping. Its over 10 days later and I never heard a peep from them, but they had no problem pulling my money immediately. I sent multiple emails and phone calls to no avail.

I just got off the phone with Bank of America and I put in a claim and they're going to credit me my money back.

This is the first time in my life I've had a bad internet transaction and I know exactly why. I got caught up in the excitement of finding a deal on the edge pro and just bought it when I saw BSS' price. Normally I research the crap out of whoever I'm buying from but this time I didn't. To make things worse, I was on a computer connection that has bladeforums blocked (I guess knifes are dangerous or something) so I wasn't able to come here and check first.

so there you have it, yet another confirmation that Best Sharpening Stones isn't really a business.

I also order some Arks from this outfit lured by their promise of same day shipping and 2 -3 day deliveries. I never did check them out before hand which would have been smart. They have an F rating by the local BBB in NJ mostly for non delivery. When my stones never arrived I emailed them, phoned them which did get me in contact with someone who said she would pass my message along to the owner. Never heard from anyone, never got any replies to my email. I finally gave up and sent and email and recontacted the person at their customer service (sic!) number telling them that I am cancelling my order and to provide me a full refund. Again no email or phone replies and no money. Finally, had to work with PayPal which to their credit were able to fully refund my money within ten days. How do these jokers stay in business; what a scam!!

Well I made a purchase without a google search on this company...(Best Sharpening Stones). Big mistake!!!!!
I ordered the Wicked Pro 1 sharpener from them because they showed in stock. Next day I started thinking,
why would these guys have it in stock when everyone else shows it on backorder...so I called to verify...LOL that was a joke.
The answering service said she could only take messages no help on the phone from her. I left the message after asking her who
I would be talking to about this. She wouldnt tell me... 3 days later Still waiting for the return call.

I also emailed them and got no reply at all....

After no call back or return email I googled this company... BESTSHARPENINGSTONES....ouch did i screw up.
Super bad reviews and a F rating from the BBB.

Out of fear I contacted Wicked and this is what answer I got from Clay at Wicked Edge.

Thanks for writing and telling us about Best Sharpening Stones. We’ve been hearing a lot about them lately and will probably have to discontinue their dealer program. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. If you’ve already paid for your order with them, we can fulfill the order for you and collect the payment from them. If not, we’d be happy to take your order. The new Pro-Pack II isn’t ready yet, most likely won’t be for another month or more – I’m still tweaking some details to get it just right. The current version we’re shipping is the Gen II which is the technology in both the Basic Kit and the Pro-Pack I and we’ll continue shipping those for the foreseeable future. It’s will be possible to purchase upgrades to the Gen II including the new arms. I hope that’s helpful. Please let us know what you’d like us to do.

Best regards,

Clay Allison

What a first class Company....
Clay is going to ship the order to me and settle up with B.S.S.
Thanks to Wicked I will have sharp knives soon. :)

I had this same experience with them a year and a half ago. Same unanswered e-mails/phone calls. I'm amazed this is still going on and that they are still in business. They are/where selling on Ebay the same WE they couldn't fulfill on their website at a higher price.Hopefully they got kicked off ebay. It took me 6 weeks to get my money back through Paypal.
