May be a dumb question about CS...

One of the members here, 500jeffreydk, uses his trailmaster for evreything and recently did a test comparing the trail master and a busse. Well according to his test, the trailmaster outperformed the busse in almost all aspects. I think that alone speaks numbers about how good this knife is for the money. :)

You will certainly own many knives in your lifetime. If you can count blades from Busse Combat, Cold Steel, and Mad Dog among them, then you can rest assured that you have owned knives that top the list.
Did he actually say it?!? No it can't be!!!! :D :D
Yes, he did, read the post:

Busse Knives are legendary, but even the man himself knows how to be a humble gentleman.

It's possible, Busse, Strider, and MadDog owners yell the loudest because we are justifying our purchase.

Pahtoocara, thanks for your info. I'm definitely not a fan of rubber handles in general. If I go with the Trailmaster I'll almost surely replace the handle with checkered hardwood or something like that. Balance point an inch in front of the guard sounds perfect... I suppose it may shift back some with a wooden handle but as long as it's not actually behind the guard I can deal.

What are people's issues with the sheath?

BTW I'm very impressed with Mr. Busse's apparent professionalism on this topic. It shows class to admit that others also make good blades, and he's totally right that healthy competition is good for everyone.
