"may The Folksy Be With You"

..... Glocks may have saved my bacon a time or two on the job over the years....... Hell, since they've got a plastic shell, I'll just give 'em a pass and consider them the sodbusters of firearms.

Great work, Rob!

Maybe it should be annotated underneath with: "Works first time, every time..."

:cool::thumbup:;)

Nay, Brother, my Burnt Chimney trapper is stainless. Forgive us those we chromium against as we forgive those who chromium against us.

Frank
Let he who is without chromium, cast the first stone!
Suffer the little chromiums to come unto me (especially my kitchen knives!)
They don't gather off-tastes!

Tears of laughter I take it Brutha waynorth. :D Laughter is good for your inner folksy.

You see creativety is flowing here in the Bruthahood of the Folksy. Sodbuster-Glock of pocketknives, very clever. :)

I had never thought of them in quite that way before. Sodbusters of firearms. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I start to knock "plastic" guns.
This is indeed a quandary for the "folksy" among us. The Glock has become a modern classic (in my mind) due to its complete reliability, dead nuts simplicity, and sheer ubiquitousness. "It Just Works" kind of thing, the revolver of the semi-auto world. And most manufacturers are leaning toward polymer guns due to costs. Next generation guns, like the Springfield XD and S&W M&P series, are taking the idea to the next level.

But they're still soulless plastic blocks.

I sold my last Glock last night, a 21-C (full size .45 ACP). My new Colt Lightweight Commander (1911 pattern) is on order. ;) It may be stainless, not blue, but then I don't have to worry about sweating on it.

And to keep this somewhat knife/thread related, I've teamed up my folksy customized Case Copperlock w/Wharncliff with amboyna burl scales with the new Colt. Boy, is that gonna be a nice "traditional" pair.

Word on the street is that there is a kind of watered down folksy or "folksy lite" that is infiltrating the Bruthahood of Folksy. Friends, and I do mean FRIENDS....let's not become gradually cooked like the proverbial frog in a pot of water brought up to boiling.

For instance, Benchmade? Benches are folksy. A knife made on a bench perhaps...again folksy. BEWARE the wolf in sheeps clothing. :o

Come on in, fellas! The folksy water is fine!

The Preacher's absolved me of all my sins and transgressions. Includin' that Pigly Wigly I knocked over. :D

This is todays carry. Not my first choice but I'm traveling on business again and the Wenger Standard happens to be my travel companion when flying. Not a heart breaker if lost or the TSA liberates it from my checked baggage but plenty functional and as reliable as a hammer.

I miss my stockman's but absense does make the heart grow fonder. May the folksy be with y'all too.

The folksy is strong with me!!
Can I get an AMEN!!!

AMEN! I can testify that your walk is indeed on the narrow folksy path.

Many will "go with the flow" as our young people say today. Modern culture and the Veil of Spyderco is blinding them to the truth. Don't hate them...pray for them that they may find the narrow folksy way. :D

I do believe we are having a revival. (that and my post count is going up like crazy :) )

With all these new posts and images, my folksy internet connection's getting overheated...

Dang Elliott, that's some kind of new fangled contraption there with that string attached. Over in my neck o' the woods, we just yell in the can and throw it at each other. ;)

Why, that string just makes it easier to pull out when one's talkin' $h*t ;) :p

This is wise counsel friend...go in the peace of the Folksy.
