To be fair, the weak tips on a para wouldn’t survive that in any steel.I wouldn't call this "abuse" but I dropped an opened Para 2 in Maxamet on cement and landed on the tip......needless to say the tip broke clean off from the 3ish ft drop.
Highly doubt I will ever buy anything in Max ever again, such an overhyped disappointing steel.
I used my spyderco as a screwdriver, “ who hasn’t “ and chipped the edge, a little time on the stone fixed it.
The same knife has been used to open the garage door after locking my self out, open beer cans etc.
The worst was done by my work partner, he asked to use my Buck 110, I was busy with a situation, a few minutes later he handed me my knife back in 2 pieces. I never carried a knife on my belt ever again.
I need details lolDisassembled a metal swing set with a Busse BB13BG
When I was pre-teen I thought every fixed blade was a throwing knife. Broke several knives that today would be considered quite collectible.
One thing to treat your own knives rough, its another thing entirely to destroy another mans gear...
Did he replace it?

I like to throw regular knives that aren't made for that , including folders .
I also like to test my fixed blades by using to make spears and side slap against tree trunks really hard .
I've broken lots of knives but also found out which I can trust . Mostly that means Cold Steel !![]()
Most of my testing was done in my early days of collecting . Long time ago .Ehh, I am all for rough treatment or even breaking knives if it saves you time/money/effort, knives are a consumable(outside collector/sentimental value)... Yet doing it to things like folders by throwing for fun just to see how "tough" they are makes me cringe.
