This is a definite style of kukri that I believe dates from around 1820-1840. I have handled quite a few with this shorter top section and it is a very deliberate design element. The one pictured also is of a blade profile that may be a "type" but I cannot nail down what/where/why. It feels massive in hand at 19.5" and 1.6 lbs. The walnut handle is very chunky for lack of a better term and what differs this kukri from its cousins is the excellent craftmanship as a dui chirra and above the cho you can see two holes that are filled with heavy gold wire. Kami's signature or something else I can't say but I've never seen it before. The scabbard is original and the k&c may be.
