Maybe it was already asked, but could you tell me something about Endura 4 ZPD-189?

Hello to all.

It is very long I posted something: to be married, to look after children and to travel about 7500 Km by train every month is pretty time consuming.

Maybe this issue is already discussed, but could someone please tell me his opinon about Endura 4 ZPD-189?

Is it a robust knife?

Are there in the handle Torx screws and steel liners under the FRN?

What is your opinion?

Thank you very much, I look forward for your relpies.

Thank you MB1, it seems a really tough knife.

And do you mean with " (it) has nested steel liners in the handle" there are steel liners "sunken" in the Zytel?

Thank you again.

I purchased this knife recently and it has been with me every day. Highly recommended. The grind is thick though so I'd suggest reprofiling the edge.

Yup, the E-4 is fairly robust. If you intend on doing some really nasty stuff I'd recommend the VG-10 version, but apparently ZDP-189 is holding up pretty well for MB1.

I don't have ZDP E4. It is too expensive and too exotic for me:-)))

The thread i'm referring is a review made by another user here on blade forums:-)))

I just purchased a ZDP Endura. It's a nice, well made, heavy duty knife for the money. It is my first Endura and I was thinking it didn't have steel liners either until I inspected it closely and saw them tucked away inside the FRN handle.

I'm going to make it my all around cutter around the house and see how well it holds up. I don't expect any problems.

Sorry, I just glanced at the thread you linked. I assumed it was yours.

What I meant to say was the ZDP E-4 that So-Lo uses seems to be holding up fairly well.
