northern's post about a one knife scenario and his little Mark Wohlwend blade got me to thinking.
I think most of us on here love playing with big knives but in reality it is probably our small fixed blades that see the most use. I'm talking about blades up to around 3" long that can be carried in our pockets, on our belts or hung around our necks depending on preference.
These knives are big enough to get most tasks done from food prep and trap making to processing wood for fire starting. These knives are also quite sheeple friendly which helps when carried and used in popular areas.

Anyway here are my little workers, the two ML's and the Mark Wohlwend Bushcrafter see the most use. Let's see yours !

I almost always have a 'small one' in my pocket, or on my belt, around my neck, or in the pack.

Don't have a pic handy, but mine are so common everyone knows them:

Mora 120, BK11, BHK Tiger Knapp - I also use an Opinel folder quite a bit. I also have that bird& trout, 2nd one down in Mannlicher's pic. Gets constant use when working in the garden tying up tomatoes, etc.

great looking blades folks..

though not a group pic, here's a few of my favorite users..:)

ML "deep woods butcher".. this thing has been a solid performers for many years..

BHK "Maverick Colt".. this is a great little paring style knife..

BHK "Long Trail"..

Mark Wohlwend/Ray Laconico colab. knife, ESEE Izula and SAK camper..

I've been getting away from small fixed blades. The only one I have at the moment is my Izula and that sees very little use. My SAK Farmer sees the most use although I expect my new Spydie Military to take over most duties. I agree that the small knives are probably the most used knives, mine are just folders. Seems to work better for me.

Not as pretty as some...but very functional and fits right into the OP criteria...

This one is pretty though...

It is great to see Matt so well represented. In that vein, here is the one on my hip most often:

However - the biggest user I have is the first Arete:

Andy and Matt make great knives!

Interesting premise Pit.

Here are a few of mine.

But my 3" blade that sees the most use is a Bark River Knives Woodland Special in CTS-XHP.

I do like these smaller knives, and in this size range pocket carry is easily accomplished.

That said, for me, my most used smaller knives are closer to 4" in blade lenght.

I have to agree with the OP, in that the small fellas get the most use.
I use this guy a lot...

My little fella above is the proto of the C3 Gryphon. It will also be Earth Borne's first production knife.

I almost ALWAYS have an ESEE on me. Whether it's the 3, 4 or Izzy.
Here's the 4 on fire duty (with a Light My Fire lighting up a feather stick)

My most used knives fall in the 4-5" range, but my ESKabar sure has been seeing a lot of use. I have it attached to my pack strap for convenience, and it sure does come in handy.
