Dad was English, seaice...I still even spell some things strangely such as theatre.

Mind you, I'm so out of date I had originally typed "elastoplast" but changed it to "sticking plaster" hoping that's what they were called in the USA.

Indeed so, Yvsa... now living in Cumbria (in the NW of England), but I'm from Scotland.

Thanks Uwinv, that's what I kinda figured but wanted to make sure. Who knows it could've been some type of smelly onion and garlic plaster but those are usually put on someone's chest.:D :o

From Scotland you say Seaice.;) I have a wee bit of Scottish blood as well but then the Cherokee were desperate and would marry anyone.;) :D
