An excellent all-around fighter-camp knife by Bill Maynard... Integral single hilt. Grey-black fine-linen micarta 4.5" handle slabs with vertical grip grooving, and stainless pins. Thong hole with ferrule. Skull crusher pommel.
**The two black straight-edges were used, in the one photo, to give a proper perspective and best represent the shape/form of the blade...
Quick and light for it's size, great blade form for multiple potential tasks. A definite hint of 'Green River' in the blade shape! Not sure of steel type, but blade stock thickness is about 5/16", a bit shy of 3/8", making for a quick-handling knife with enough strength for most any task but, perhaps, heavier prying. Blood grooves. Most likely has his 'Maynardkote' finish.
OAL is 13", full blade from handle-forward is 8 1/8"...and blade, from beginning of first tooth to end is 7.5". Sawtooth section is 1 3/8" long. Two sections of thumb-grooves on blade top.
Top-grade leather sheath...as nice as I've seen, and I have seen a few....and it is in mint condition.
No evidence of actual use, and edge is flawless and appears original. Blade finish does have various scuffing and surface scrapes...nothing through the finish. Just, apparently, lots of appreciative handling...
Probably made a number of years back, and originally about a $415-$425. piece.
Given the blade shape, thickness and feature group, this is a somewhat different piece which gives the immediate impression that it should be carried for any outdoor venturin'.
***SOLD***. shipped to CONUS, Prioirity insured, and properly packed/boxed.
{Not really lookin' for trades....}
