Sam, just as a general guideline, the only questions on here that I and most others don't answer are those where someone else has replied adequately or I/we just don't know the answer. As for G-10, I never use it and haven't a clue. Personally I would suggest you switch to canvas Micarta which pretty much textures itself as you finish it. A light sanding at about 220 grit gives it a nice texture and it's safer to work with than G-10.
It is kind of ironic that you've singled out the guys who probably give more answers on here than anyone else. Tom is usually wrong of course but he tries. Neil probably tops the list in answers, and Rob is likely the best of the bunch in knowhow.
Also for the record, I always check for what threads I might be helpful on before I begin the fun part. I think you will learn as you become more experienced in knifemaking that there are so many different ways that knives are made that there are no knifemakers in the world who have all the answers. It might well be that what you are asking questions about is outside the experiential knowhow of those your are criticizing here.
As a general rule, and almost without exception, knifemakers are the most helpful people you will evr meet. We always share our knowhow with other makers.
I really don't think it is your best interest to attack those from whom you would like help. Think about it. We all have email addresses. If something is bothering you just email us and let's deal with it in private. If you don't want to be a part of this friendly group that is your choice.
