Blackrazor was Blackrazor? Keith is a regular Holmes, alright

When I look at some of the knives that have gained cult followings and sell for huge money, I find myself thinking that $1500 for a TnT is a bargain. The only problem I have is that it takes TnTs out of my price range. That's ok though, lots of other knives are out of my price range as well.

No Doubt TNTs are awesome knives. I wish I had even one and I don't. But one must remember, if we buy knives on impulse at the top of the price curve, I think it reasonable to believe we will be taking a bath when Tom decides to begin taking orders for TNTs again.

At this time, what will 1200.00 Buy. hmmmm, Let's see:

1) 3 months worth of groceries at my house (for 5 people).
2) 3 car payments for many new vehicles (including insurance)
3) at least 1 mortgage payment for most of us
4) 4 sebenzas
5) at least 2 Carson folders on the secondary market (at top dollar)

Just a little food for thought... ;)

Bob you are right, but of the five things you listed, Id still rather have another TNT!

Well...if you broke it, you would send it back to Tom to get fixed (no biggie). Plus...remember, it's only worth what you can sell it for and I don't think you have sold it for over $1,000 yet.

I'm the one that sold that $1200 TnT. Basically the only reason I put it up at all, let alone at that price is that I had an Onion that I really wanted, so I figured that if I sold it I could get the Onion and if not I still had a Mayo. I just figured it was a win-win situation. By the way, the deal fell through (no comment), so there hasn't been a Mayo (at least that I know of) that's gone for $1200...yet

Based on the last few auctions it seems like prices have eased a bit ($765 for a new Medium last night). Frankly, I think this is good news for the enthusiasts. I'd rather be able to buy and use them than have a collection jumping in value. They are too useful and enjoyable to be safe queens.

It is a good 'test' to find out how much a knife is currently worth. You have a knife in your collection and the maker is hot and his knives are in serious demand. You have no idea what it's worth and decide to put it on E-bay at a very high starting bid. If it sells, then you have yourself a nice chunk of change to buy another knife, if not you at least find out that your knife is NOT worth the amount you chose to start with. It is a win-win situation unless you are absolutely certain you do not want to sell the knife.

hey wanna buy a skirmish for $5,000?:p :p :D
