Mayonized Sebbies

Does anyone know anything about Alan Elishewitz's thumbstuds.
I have one of his knives, and it's like the Sebbie, but not as pointy.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Personally, I love the Elishewitz's thumbstud, but I've never had a problem with the Sebbie in the first place.

Interesting point Walking Man !

I've had several of Elishewitz's knives and the thumbstuds on each were slightly different. But very comfortable ! I really enjoy his knives ! Very very smooth and light-weight !

Here is a comparison between the thumbstuds on a Elishewitz Persian (left pic) and the thumbstuds on a Mayonized Sebbie (right pic).

The more I think about, the more I really like Chris's stud on the New style sebbie, because it's right up against the liner, and you need that extra little bit of bite to make it easy to open.
For those of you who don't like Chris's studs,
I'm going to guess they are the classic ones.
Am I right?

I actually don't mind the pointy thumbstuds at all now that I've got a nice sebenza callous on my thumb. But until I did . . . ouch.

As far as I know, the newer thumbstuds are pointier/sharper than the old ones.

I think they're the same...

The pointy-ness I can live with, althought it does increse the possibility of accidental opening when being withdrawn from a pocket. What I don't care for is the sharp ridges, or whatever you call them, between the point and the base. The ones on my old BG-42 Sebenza were fine. The ones on my new S30V Sebenza were so sharp I had to take a bit of the edge off with one of the white stones that come with a Spyderco Sharpmaker. They caught on pockets, skin, etc. very easily.
