short story,he bought a knife from me for $275 ,but he hacked a PayPal account and paid me then PayPal refunded the original owner of the account.and they took the money from me.so I’m out $275 knife and $275 cash.
 
Did you ship to a different address than the one listed by PayPal for the account?

Aren't you out a $275 knife only,not that that isn't enough. The $275 Cash was the money paid for the knife that was refunded.
As asked above was this the confirmed PP address ? and was it a G&S sale? if yes to both you need to spend some more time talking to PP-you should be covered under seller protection IMO.

If you sold via F&F, how do you know you shipped to the confirmed address? Whenever I received a F&F there was no address with the payment since it's not a payment requiring shipping of goods.

Regardless, if you accepted a F&F transaction as payment for goods...you're screwed and it's entirely your fault.

But, as mentioned above, if the person is a Bladeforums member you should post it here so they can respond.

Not that important but I really don't understand your math. You sold a knife and got $275 for it. The person who actually owned the account got returned that $275. You are only out the knife unless you had to throw in another $275 out of your pocket on top of the returned money.
Unless I am missing something or you left something out.
Unfortunately in cases like this when you use F&F PP can't do a thing for you
 
This is pretty weird If I have it right this is member Moyosimba with 140 transactions here and he posted an I'll take it in the thread. So is he claiming both his membership here and PP account were hacked or are you saying Moyosimba hacked someone's account
 
How the hell do you hack a paypal account?

anything is possible, but often in cases similar to this it is a family member and the owner of the account doesn't want to pay the bill-not that that is the what happened here. I have no idea what exactly is going on in this case.
 
This sale has more questions involved than a murder mystery. :confused: F&F, verified address, member with long history (Moyosimba) somehow hacking and/or getting hacked, lack of response from buyer,???? VERY strange. :rolleyes: Added: check the buyers (Moyosimba) post areas; not much of a forum contributor. :thumbsdown:

You screwed yourself. Sorry. I know it is harsh. You didn't sell anything. You gave a guy a knife and he gave you money that wasn't his. This was not a business transaction.

That said, a link to his profile will help us all avoid this crook. If he doesn't respond to mod interaction he will likely be banned.

Total nonsense, my record with the Forum speaks for itself!!! I have and never will steal from anyone, in addition I don't have the ability to HACK anyone especially PayPal with all their security measures!!!!
There's a theif among us and it's not ME!!!!!
