Mc Clellan rasp

I picked up a 12" McClellan rasp at a garage sale over the weekend. The only thing that I can find about it is that Nicholson bought out McClellan in 1897 and continued to make files under their name until somewhere around 1972. Anyone have any idea what kind of steel this is?

Up until the move to Mexico Nicholson files were either W1 or W2. I'd imagine it's probably one of those
