These are Friction folders from MC Cognet ,the Douk Douk people. I was never a huge fan of a friction folder but wanted to sample these . They have a very unique design where the blade has a notch that rests perfectly into the pin behind the pivot. The action is slow & tight " friction" ,no blade play & when opened ,surprisingly firm & secure . They are light as a feather . Thin grinds ,really nice workmanship. Blonde horn & Olive wood ,both are one piece of material, the blade trough is milled out.

These were not used ,sharpened or carried. I handled them ,took a few pics of them. Prices include USA shipping via Priority tracked & insured

The Olive wood is 4-5/8" closed ,blade is 3-3/8" from tip to handle ,it opens to 8" . Steel is Bohler N690 ,and the profile is called a " Yatagan " . Nice figure on the honey colored olive wood A very unique version no longer available

The blonde horn is 4-5/8" closed ,blade 3-1/8" from tip to handle ,opens to 8-1/8" . XC75 carbon blade wicked thin slicer. Very nice one piece horn handle. It's hard to say if one is lighter in weight than the other without a proper scale but they are very light weight sold
