Hi Folks,

Just wanted to check to see if anyone on this forum has a phone number, e-mail address, etc to contact this knifemaker. I have a Custom Bowie Knife that is very nice that I inherited from my Uncle and on the blade it has "mcdonald" and probably a serial number. On the other side of the blade it has "1 of 1 Prairie Grove, Ark". Even if I had a first name I could probably get a phone number of the internet. In this picture the blade looks tarnished because of the flash but it is very shiny and new looking. I would appreciate
any info. Thanks!

Only lead is a Robert McDonald of Loxahatchee, FL, 33470.

Made his first knife in 1968, and has moved since his first entry in the Knives Annuals (1989). I checked from 1981 to 2000 randomly. Might have lived in Arkansas before. The makers mark is his last name.

Good luck!

Interestingly, I purchased a R.J. McDonald bowie knife at a gun show this past weekend and am trying to learn more about the maker. This knife is gorgeous as well as massive (approx. 16") with leather sheath and elk antler handle. Help wanted ???

Not the same guy as the one in Florida.
Can't find any info on the one from Arkansas. Sorry, that's all I know.

Gary Grubb, got a pic of yours?
