This is essentially a McGizmo Mule head (light engine and housing) with a custom-made Photon Fanatic body. The head features an XM-L LED and Don's AA light engine. The body is a solid piece of Ti that houses a single AA battery. The head / body connection is sealed with a 17.5mm Buna-70 O-ring. I will include the extras I have with the light.
This is a matched set and the head / body are not interchangeable with other McGizmo parts. I've spoken with Fred (Photon Fanatic) about this. Apparently he turned down the light engine to have it fit on the body.
At the time that I spoke with Fred, this was a one-off light. He had mentioned at the time that he was possibly making a second for another customer but I never confirmed if another was made.
This light has seen a lot of pocket time and has the usual light scuffs and swirls that Ti lights get when they are used. Light functions perfectly but it can be a little particular about batteries (or at least the rechargables I've used with it). The tolerances on this light are so tight that some batteries fit too tightly, are a touch short, etc. I found it best to dedicate a couple of rechargables for use in this light and never had any problems once I did.
Looking to get -SOLD- shipped within North America. Price is in U.S. dollars and includes PayPal fees. Light is located in Canada.
Edited to add: I might be open to trading straight-up for a McGizmo Mule with an X-ML LED and a McGizmo AA Pack as I'm planning to buy one anyways. I found I prefer the McClickie tailcap over the twisty in daily use but my current AA Pack is currently fitted to a Haiku X-ML head. Thanks.
