McKinley Woods Gathering?

I've never been to one of the JK gatherings.

What should be brought? Is this just a meet & greet over coffee? Gear swap? Can I bring the Mrs.?

Just a meet and greet, and swap stuff is always welcome. You can bring your wife if you want, but there are no bathroom "facilities" available.
 
I was travelling all last week and missed the updates here.

So - do we have a list of things each person is bringing?

Do we need firewood? Foodstuffs? We having any kind of competitions/feats of strength?

Nothing yet. I'm betting the lower area of McKinley Woods will be closed, will probably have to go down the road to Aux Sable.
 
The alternate is only about three miles down the road.

What time works good for you guys to meet up? Whatever time you guys choose I'll get there early and see if McKinley is open. If not I'll text everyone to go to the alternate location.
 
I can usually be there by 9:00 - earlier if I can get on the roll earlier - takes 2.5 hours give or take one way -

With any luck we might have some decent weather, they are saying mid 40's Saturday.

It'll be there - and get used, beat up maybe not.....probably just admire it and cut some stuff and let you beat on it when you get it.

I have been beating on my Kephart lately - I bought a face cord of wood and it is all oak hardwood and wet, so I had to baton it down to small sticks on my hearth.

John's 01 does not even know it has been beat on.
