Mcusta Knives?

A Mcusta MC-75D "Take" was my first really good knife. It's awesome. Perfect finish, very smooth opening thanks to a teflon washer, no play. Indeed no clip on mine but then again it would look bad on this classic model!
Note, the Mcusta definition of "damascus" is rather a number of pressed together layers. Anyway, it looks good.
They are well made and will give a lot of pleasure for a long time. The closest competition in my perception is offered by Klotzli knives, which to me have a similar feel and appeal.

Wouldn't a clip be terribly ugly on this fine knife:

I love Mcusta! Great knives, great prices. And they prove that you can get a high-quality damascus piece without giving an arm and a leg.

I agree that a clip wouldn't look good on it, but on the other hand, I could carry it way more easily and am thus far more likely to carry it. Clips can be removed pretty easily, but to put them on you have to make them and drill for them.

Thanks for the replies and pics guys. I've place an order for one (quince and damascus) to see if I like them and if they'll suit my grooms men. BTW I do like the leek and I may just pick one up for myself since they are affordable. :D

How about some Mcusta eye candy to close out this thread since the OP made a decision?

Is it just me, or does the D-shaped hole make the knife look...happy? Like it's smiling at you? :D

Great pics. I love the white Corian.

That's a good observation. Never thought about it but I agree.

I was reluctant about the white Corian at first but now I have two ;) I get a lot of compliments toward that knife, even from the sheeple. It is really an elegant EDC.

How's the lock up on that tactical. I got one the a trade from someone on another forum. It's a nice knife but it won't lock open unless you pop it open quickly. If you ease it open with your thumb the liner just kind of lays against the edge of the the base of the blade. :(

Mine's fine but there is indeed plenty of wear room. If the liner isn't getting behind the tang enough take it apart and do some minor filing or send it back. Mine lock up hard and tight.

But before you do that, disaassemble it, clean it up and reassemble it. You may be surprised to find that it locks up properly after that.

They disassemble and reassemble very easily.

Is the "M" on the blade of the Mcusta Tactical Elite cut all of the way thru the blade? That is bold.

Great pics and I really do need a white corian Mcusta. Stunning beauty in a handy tool.

i am a fan of the browning ice storm....once and a while a nice one comes up for auction on eprey but very rarely since most people like to keep them.
