Camping is supposed to be enjoyable but it looks damn cold out there and possibly not enjoyable.
Do you always bring that many knives camping?

Not that cold when you are used to it since it was -10 Celsius, but this week-end in Mont-Laurier was -32Celsius (-25.6F) , this one was COLD.

No i do not take that many knifes and each trip we brought that many to do a group shot of our blades. Normally i would have my RC-4 and Izula or the HEST, but not more then two blades.

The camera use is a Canon G10 (Long exposure +-15sec) with a small tripod.

what heat source were you guys using, if any? i'm just curious, there's a lot of knives there but nothing that's really efficient at cutting enough logs for a fire in an emergency.

Well the refuge a small log cabin is heated by an old wood stove, and as far the outdoor portion nothing except good layering of clothing.

For cutting bigger logs and trees, we had two collapsible bucksaws with us and one small hatchet.

Mind that we were 8 persons so that is why we have so much blades in there. We normally don't carry that much around
