Here is knife well suited for slicing as the edge is very thin. I think this knife could be used in the outdoors as well as the kitchen. The Handle scales are OD Linen Micarta with stainless hardware. The full tang blade is made of 1080 Plus that I got from Alpha Knife Supply. The steel is a step above 1084 and not quite 52100. Check out the steel composition on their site. In house heat treat with double 2 hour tempers at 400. Flats are acid etched and the bevel are belt finished with some etch poking through in spots. This knife is not made for batoning and or chopping down trees just a pure slicer. I am offering this knife without a sheath as a option. $125 shipped to your door without sheath and $145 with a black leather sheath. If you choose the sheath please allow time for it to be made. Thanks

.112" thick at the thumb ramp, blade is 4.5" handle is 4.5"

How do you like working with the aks 1080+? I'm considering it for my chef's knives, and have been using admiral steel's 1075/1080, and some recycled 15n20 bandsaw steel. Thanks! Tom

The 1080 plus works like aldos 1084 to me and almost as clean. I guess my belts dont complain like they do with stainless.
