Mean Street Ergo LE

You're preachin' to the choir there, brother! Having said that, and this being Texas and all, it's usually only trouble makers that get in trouble. I'll just leave it at that...

...Needs a sheath, stat! :D:thumbup:

Jaxx,

Did you do something to that black micarta to give it that deep, rich color ... or is it just your photo skills? Great pic.

John

Thank you. :) I did since I took that pic, but that was just a quick shot with post processing. I think the effect you're referring to might be the bit of motion blur in the image. :D Handle looks like this now... :) vvv

Looks beautiful! You don't see too much polished micarta on Busse's. I love that look

Jaxx! You mod your knives? Who knew?

Looks good, how is the grip?

Not often, but occasionally I get the urge...like on this knife. As soon as I handled these, I knew I wanted to carry one. Soon as I knew that, out came the tape & sandpaper. :D
It is almost like a soft slick feel to the touch, extremely comfortable in the hand. Slippery enough during grip changes, but nice & grippy in the hand when you apply a normal pressure grip. This improves depending on dampness and your hand. More than it was by a considerable margin. But, I think the slick finish may become too wet (rain use) and lose some grippy-ness at some point. That's where the machined grips really shine anyway, staying grippy...and that's why I got 2 of these. ;) So, not "sticky", just nice & grippy. :) I gotta hunt down some 2000 grit, but it's good to go now. Getting ready to work on the spine & tang today, polishing that up some too.

I was looking at the specs & pics of these and the Ergo Public Defender/CS Fatback. I think they're going to feel very similar. That being said, it's just that much harder to wait for the Fatback now. I know it's probably not coming till 2017:p but I can hope Santa will bring it. :D

The sheath is from Chad Pirtle, and it's awesome! Oh - please excuse my grubby mitts. I'm a mechanic, so I'll never have a shot at being a hand model :)
