Some people missed out on an evolutionary link in the Mean Street line.

When the original "straight handled" generation of knives were evolved into the e-handles, the Mean Street replacement was blatently missing.

Jerry made a few (5 or so) protos that incorporated -

an a$$less-ground Satin Jack-style handle, and a blade that to me seems to be a bit of an enlarged Active Duty or almsot a BA-3, was in 1/4",

and had some thumb grooves on the spine,

as well as on the underside of the tang just behind the front talon-hole.

Well, it did not make it to fruition, with the AD filling (for a while) the small Busse niche.

Too bad those who missed them (there were 3), but I understand there may (may, as in possibly) be at least 1 more in the upcomming Extravaganza.

Rotsa ruck!!

5? Damn! I thought there were only the three at Blade :)

You're right, it's a sweet blade. That tan/tan is the one I never had a chance to see at the show.

MS Proto it is!!! There is no way in hell I'm owning a knife with the "other" name :D Can't you just see that ad in blade, LOL :)

I thought that "Jack" warned you about running "Off" at the mouth.

There's the name... can you see why people don't just shout it out.

For the Satin Jack grip and a little off the end....

Leave it to the stinky one to come up with it...

Yes Nemmy, into the stash it went....

I'm sure there were only three at the show, I got the one with the black linen handle and desert finish.

:D

I forget who had the tan/black canvas. I know someone showed me, but danged if I remember. Sorry.

I object! Asked and answered your Honour!!

(see post #7. If you still have to ask, go back 3 spaces, and lose 2 turns...)

It will be residing in Ohio my man.

The more I check it out, the more I'm thinkin long-term relationship...LOL

I think he should, and call it the "Side Street". Limited run.

Man, it feels good in the hand. Gotta love 1/4" INFI...

I woudn't mind having one in satin or DC, you're right it feels so natural in hand. Measured mine it comes out to .252. Not going to get much closer than that to a perfect 1/4" :D
