Mean Street question

It's probably old news by now, but based on what little I remember of my classic Busses, here's one more vote for A2 :cool:
 
bottom knife, the first ever SHSH, was AST34 the next up a Birds Beak I'm not sure about maybe A2. the next with screws I believe is INFI. I could be wrong on the Bird (could be INFI) and screws (could be A2) but the first was AST34; it's printed on the knife :-). I could ask an old SH collector and find out if no one chimes in.

The birds beak is definitely A2. Of that there is zero doubt. However, your slot bolt shshii is likely INFI. There is only one way to really tell. If you pour scotch over the spine and it curls right it is INFI. If you pour bourbon over the spine and it curls left it is A2. That's how I always test all my knives. late at night.

Hey man! Good to hear from you! That sure brings back some memories, that BBSHSH has the best ergos of any Busse I have ever owned. We are doing well here so far, I am a Grampa now!
