If you think it's an all around knife now. What would you think of it as a folder.

Different occasions or/and activities suit these different leather types; it is important to inform oneself before a purchase. Cowhide, for instance, makes a good everyday work or riding boot, however might not suit a formal occasion such as a wedding. Suede moulds well to the feet and thus is a boot designed to maintain a good level of comfort while walking. It is better suited to dryer land however, as moister conditions may affect the material. Other leathers such as alligator and ostrich are strong and durable thus should wear well even in rough turfs. Exotic leathers such as lizard and snake skins are designed more as ornamental and aesthetically pleasing footwear, therefore should be avoided if riding, for example, were the main objective.
I had boots of ostrich skin something like 20 years ago? They seemed tougher and more wear resistant than cowhide, at the time.
Nice sheath Stace!
did you get that one at blade out of his box, or did you order it?
Eli - I got it from Blade at his booth. I felt pretty lucky to have found it - it seemed perfect for the dc-green linen of the SE MS.
With the variety of the SE models spanning the range of the last couple of years, I think Mr. Rowe saw his all of his Busse sheaths disappear that weekend.
And I still hate you PM!
I had gone over to Kenny's booth a little earlier looking for something exactly like that but he didn't have anything other then a plain jane tan leather one. The knife didn't look good at all in it, so I asked if he had anything else that would work. He took a quick look and didn't see anything. Darn!
So I'm going out of the hall to meet my wife by the enterance and here comes Stacey chasing me down to show me his nice new sheath. Apparently PM's money is greaner then mine. Grrrr. :grumpy:
