Meaning of your call sign

Good read of a somewhat necro-thread.
I got my name from my roomie in vet school, who also happened to be a rugby teammate. We were big devotees of Blazing Saddles when we lived together. (I challenge anyone to lines/trivia from that movie... seen it literally hundreds of times). Anyway, he swore that when I got hammered drunk, that I basically became Mongo from BS. There may or may not have been an alleged piano scene too... but I'm not sure of the statute of limitations in Illinois. So, he nicked me Mongo.

I brewed professionally in the mid-nineties for a good five years, during the first micro-brew surge. It was a Blast, we were treated like Rock Stars.... I do meads as well. Went through a mead phase where ALL I did was meads for about a year. I have a ton in the basement, along with a couple hundred bottles of wine, idk? I like drinking wine occasionally, but I don't enjoy making it as much as I do with beer...….
I always say that with wine, the Farmer has all the skill, and does all the work. :/

idk what faulted wine is, Ill have to look it up? Almost sounds like vinegar???
 
Its acidic. It retains the same alcohol percentage though. The boiling temp of the acid is higher than that of the alcohol. So you have to keep your temperature under a certain degree yet high enough to distill the alcohol. Kinda threading the needle.
 
The day I started on the Internet...on a shiny new Gateway2000 Pentium 100 CPU..with28.8k modem(circa 1996)it was the anniversary of the Viking Mars lander...plus my birthday....tadaa...my user name has changed to deckard313 everywhere but this forum...when I changed internet provider... viking313 wasn’t available.
