Mears knife

Ray has often used one of the Duluth packs in his videos. The Duluth packs are not only very well constructed but comfortable as well. There are quite a few of us who prefer pacvks without a waistbelt. Personaly I use an old surplus Swiss military mountain ruck. I have carried upwards of 80 lbs. of gear in it on many occasions without any great discomfort or ill effects. Most of the time I am able to keep my load far below that, but on extended treks wieght goes up.

As to the Mears knife I've not even seen a picture of the blade. But for those inflated prices it had better do all the work for you plus serve drinks. It is hard to believe that I could buy three or four very high quality customs for the cost of that one knife. Some folks just don't have the sense God gave a Goose. Oh well first commandment of the Gypsies "It is a mortal sin not to separate a sucker from his money".

I didnt mean to sound like i was putting frameless packs down, i was just guessing as to what Toucan Oasis meant with his statement.

Personally i own 2 internal-frame packs, both Ospreys, which ive been very happy with.

Regarding other type of packs inc. those Mears wear, im sure theyre fine enough or i wouldnt see so many people on the trails wearing them. I personally have no experience with them whatsoever.

I havent seen his knife, nor do i care to see it. I mean, come one, 10 years waiting time, and at that pricepoint? And can it do anything that my TAK-1 cant? I dont think so...

i understand the first bit you wrote, even agree with it to a certain extent.

what are you exactly asserting about backpacks?
Nothing really.
A glorified potato sack with an axe;) hole, some leather, and a couple of extra pockets for $370.
It should be self explanatory.:p
