Mecha's forge burned down

Oh man, that's crazy! Another reason to have insurance on your shop and equipment!

This is terrible news, I hope he can get up and running soon.

Saw this on his Instagram earlier. Hope he has proper insurance coverage, and even then it will suck for a long time to come.

Damn, that sucks hope everyone's okay and he's up and running soon!

I think most people here would agree that a fire, particularly a catastrophic total fire like this one, is the worst nightmare. I have literally got up in the middle of the night because I thought I might smell smoke. I've gone out to the shop after having gone to bed just to make sure on numerous occasions. I've always been afraid something like this would happen to me, and now it has happened to a really good fellow and maker that I respect. It's just terrible.

I guess shop fires are kind of like buffer accidents etc. Maybe you'll be lucky and you'll never have one. Maybe you'll be unlucky and you will. There are things you can do to improve your chances, but ultimately it is, at least to some extent, just luck

This really sucks. I always enjoyed his crazy blades. This is why my new shop is a steel building building.

The guy posts some incredible work and always has something good to add to a conversation. A terrible tragedy.

Hi everyone, thanks for the concerns.

I suppose the big question is if it was a titanium-related thing. It was not, the fire broke out on the other side of the shop at night and was unrelated to the blade work. It was a total loss, home, shop, even vehicles. There is nothing left but possibly some useable titanium, and luckily the truck was insured. I’m glad Oye and I made it out, and we’re still holding onto the hope that our kitty made it out. Still tbd. Otherwise, just going to have to start over, but with a lot more knowledge this time. Take care of yourselves, everyone.

All my best man. I'm really sorry.
