Med Alice, content spilled

watch that hand warmer's expiration date. i had a couple of grabber brand ones that did not put out any heat at all after going just a month after it's expiration date (i never bothered to check since i didn't think they expired). also, i pre-thread the sewing thread & needles that way i don't have to fuss with it in low light conditions, etc. that's a good kit. looks like you have everything covered.

I am in Africa and you didn't say what temp range or conditions you use ....... general comment are too many duplicates of what is needed. What you like and what you need is different ...... split the bag between toys for play and what you need and see how much lighter it gets for a serious day pack but my comments in blue

Osprey orange dry sac (Color is important, max visibility if used as a marker for signaling, using it as a "hunters vest, clipped on to the outside of the bag" great all around color.)
My trailmix kit, lunch not included as I prepare that right before leaving the house..
- 4 hot cocos
- 1 ziploc of jerky
- 1 ziplock of cashews / chocolate pretzels
- 2 clif bars
Roll of toilet paper (Excessive unless you have gippo guts ...... roll off abour 25 ft and that is it)
Microbites by guyot design (spork / spatula )

Bankline
Electrical tape (Never found a use for that ...you have duct tape)
Condor Bushlore with ranger band + firesteel
Mora 840mg Clipper with ranger band + firesteel (You have SAK as well so loose at leasts one. Too many fire steels ....take one firesteel and a Bic)
Bahco laplander folding saw

First aid Kit
- 2 10hrs hand warmers (Replace with gloves)
- 1 small bottle of hand sanitizer (Good for starting fire as well)
- 1 Lip Balm
- 1 contact lens eye drops + contacts container (Rather spare glasses)
- 1 conforming gauze bandage
- 2 gauze dressings 2'' x 2''
- 5 antiseptic towelettes (waste)
- 5 alcohol cleansing pads (waste)
- 5 qtips (waste)
- 1 polysporin ointment mini tube
- 5 bandaids
- 2 knuckle bandages (waste)
- 2 fingertip bandage (waste)
- 6 ibuprophens
- 1 adhesive patch bandage (waste)
- 1 roll adhesive tape (waste, use duct tape)
- 1 tweezer

(Excessive for a day pack ...if you need that much meds stay home. I would rather add a small bottle of anteseptic fluid .... I use Dettol but don't know what you have in the US. I would also take Immodium)

Survival Kit (Adventure medical kit trick'd out max capacity)
- 1 aluminum foil (waste)
- 1 fresnel lens (waste)
- 1 sterile surgical blade (Waste... you have enough blades)
- 1 signal mirror
- 4 quik tinder (waste, you have cotton balls)
- 1 firesteel (added) (Waste as you already have a few)
- 1 SAK Soldier (added)
- 10' of 550 paracord (replaced crappy nylon rope included)(I would go at least 50ft and prefer 100ft)
- wire (waste)
- sewing thread / fishline (waste)
- 1 roll of ductape
- 1 button compass (Replace with a proper compass as I see you have added a map now. Consider a small GPS)
- 1 fox 40 whistle
- tube with hooks, sinkers, needle, safety pins (added better, bigger hooks, better clip on sinkers, took 2 safety pins out, instead of 3 hooks I have 10, and instead of 3 sinkers I have also 10 (waste)
- 4 aquamira purifying tabs (Increase that to 10 tabs at least ....if very hot you need more water and you don't have lotsa cooking stuff)

Altoids tin, contains 10 vas cotton balls. (Excessive for a day ....max 2 balls will do for a weekend)
OD green bandana

GI 1 quart canteen with nesting cup
Norton pocket sharpening wetstone
Diamond sharpening stone ((waste replace both stones with a DC4 or sand paper),
Bear grylls adventure series strike force (Love it, well constructed, solid and showers! ((waste, triplicate)
g-shock watch (If you wear a watch already, waste)
cellphone
3 mil contractor garbage bag
8x10 woodlawn camo, cheapo tarp (winter use, I have a equinox silnylon for summer and my poncho.)

of course the Medium size Alice pack with no frame
and my 16'' Wetterlings hunter axe (waste with saw)

I would look at more cooking utensils and add a headlamp or a flashlight with a spare set of batteries. If you take a GPS using AA does make sense. How about a hat and sunglasses? Space blanket? I would carry my main blade on my person with a PSK in a Maxpedition Anemone on my belt with a firesteel, some PJCB, space blanket, 4 tabs of water purification tabs and a small 1 qtr ziplock bag. Maybe 2-3 Band Aids and a 2-4 Iboprofen painkillers
